OZone Strategic Marketing LLC has been developing and implementing cutting-edge Revenue Growth Strategies for the Hospitality Industry since 1999. We are a results driven independent professional services firm with expertise in the fields of Hotel Distribution Planning, Revenue, Pricing and Marketing Management. In the past 10 years, OZone has never had less than a 10:1 return on investment for any revenue management program we have developed and managed!

2006 and 2007 saw exciting growth for OZone with the launch of an "Interim Revenue Management Solution". Each of the last 2 years OZone achieved a 26% increase in RevPAR and capturing over $25 million a year in incremental revenue for our client base representing over 30 hotels and close to 10,000 Rooms. Through extensive market research, planning, sales process re-engineering, and advance revenue management and pricing tactics, OZone designed and introduced processes that enabled our clients to make more money (at a higher ADR) now and well into the future.

OZone has developed a proprietary understanding of the best practice approach to pricing models in use today. Through relationships with brands, owners, independents, asset managers, operators and hotel employees, OZone has successfully guided each client to recognize new revenue streams, energize and capitalize on existing sources of business which have provided returns far and above each hotel's local market.

How We Do It

Phase 1: The Business Audit

OZone Strategic Marketing begins every new partnership by performing an in-depth Pricing and Revenue Management Audit that will consist of a full-scale review of past practices, current initiatives, and future goals for the property.

  • Assess the Competitive Environment. We will study the current fiscal pricing environment and competitive strategies used by the major competing hotels/brands.
  • Review the Marketing Plan by segment, and budget projections, and make recommendations to adjust the market segment sales mix. We will set benchmarks and manage targets to modify the sales mix to increase revenues and market share. We will further develop sales strategies to close gaps between budgeted plans and actual results.
  • Audit the Current Distribution Strategy. We work with the hotel staff in training those involved in inventory management and rate setting on the various distribution platforms utilized and we will introduce new platforms where required.
  • Analyze On-line and Third Party Internet (ADS) booking technologies used. We will recommend and negotiate distribution agreements if, when, and where required.
  • Develop and/or work within a Corporate or Brand Strategy with respect to product Pricing and Distribution, partners, and processes.
  • Based on the findings, OZone Strategic Marketing provides a clear presentation enabling the hotel to identify strategies and tactics to be put into place in Phase 2.

Phase 2: Daily Management and Learning Phase

  • OZone will manage the Transient Sales Inventory database and monitor rate structure, accuracy, retail parity and rate integrity between the various global, alternate and on-line distribution channels.
  • OZone will track and report daily sales progress to the hotel and update various Third Party and GDS Sales channels with rate and inventory availability.
  • OZone will review weekly 30-60-90 day forecasts for internal hotel planning and budget comparisons. OZone reviews daily Occupancy forecasts, and monthly Market Segmented forecasts, complete with rate and revenue projections.
  • OZone will set Group Sales Allocation and Pricing Targets to provide the right information to the sales and catering staff in advance of market demand.
  • We organize the various findings into monthly status reports with corresponding presentations. We will incorporate monthly reviews of the standard Competitive Intelligence reports, outlining specific opportunities and reviews of actions employed. We will review our recommendations on daily conference calls with the hotel staff as needed throughout the term of our relationship.
