Stamford, CT, June 2007 OZone Strategic Marketing announced the first full season success for its newest European boutique hotel, the KRISTIANIA LECH in Lech, Austria. Small Luxury Hotels of the World only Virtuoso property in Austria.

The Kristiania retained OZone Strategic Marketing mid-2006 to assess the market strength and to develop a business strategy to assist the management team to continue to capitalize on its leading market position and financial strength.

"Entering into an agreement with OZone Strategic Marketing was a great strategic fit for us", explained Gertrud Schneider, General Manager of the KRISTIANIA LECH. "Yield Management and Revenue Management can prove to be a challenge for most owners, but the OZone team helped us to understand what our needs were, and where we can continue to push for revenue growth."

Jeffrey Osborne, managing director of OZone Strategic Marketing noted, "It is critical in any service partnership that there is good communication, and clearly defined objectives." Jeff moderated a panel discussion on this very topic for HSMAI in March of this year. "The key objectives in the European partnership were about training, developing the culture of revenue management, and building the confidence to change business practices. The overall and absolute goal was to increase revenues! We are delighted to report we were successful on both counts." Jeff explained, "the seasonal resort opening was delayed due to a lack of snow, thus postponing the opening of the ski area. The village of Lech reported a 15% drop in revenue year over year. However, despite the delayed start, the KRISTIANIA LECH managed to substantially outperform their previous year. Additional gains were made in the knowledge of what to watch for, and the confidence to react to market signals with the right strategies. As a result, confidence grew within the KRISTIANIA LECH team to push for more, even when the economy was troubled."
